In our hotel in Durbach you are already in one of the most beautiful vacation regions in the Black Forest, but because of the proximity to Alsace and the European metropolis Strasbourg, so many possibilities to enjoy the French flair and get a taste of the "savoir vivre" are available to you.
The attractions of the Black Forest are also close by - the Black Forest Open Air Museum Vogtsbauernhof, the Hansgrohe Aquademie with the museum for Water, Bath and Design, the medieval cities of Gengenbach or Schiltach with the romantic flair, the Glashütte in Wolfach, the Ortenberg Castle and of course many excellent wineries.
If you take a vacation with children, you want to offer your children a few highlights. Our hotel is relatively close to the Europa-Park - it's less than 40 minutes to Rust and you have the advantage of returning to the tranquility of the Durbach Valley in the evening to a comfortable, child friendly area without the touristic hustle and bustle. The Europa-Park is definitely one of the most fun experiences for children and - some might not admit - for adults also.
In addition there are numerous less spectacular excursion destinations for children such as the Durbach swimming pool or the pony farm. But also the Glashütte and the Black Forest Open Air Museum fascinate children with exciting and educational performances and exhibits.

The Ortenau is a traditional cultural region and almost all the cities offer good programs in the range of concerts, theaters, cabaret and exhibits. It's only a few minutes from Durbach to Offenburg. The "Reithalle", the "Salmen" and the "Oberrheinhalle" are especially top-class venues with high-quality programs of jazz, dance, classical music, world music and theater.
The German-French Theater BaalNovo is an institution which is respected on both sides of the Rhine River. But you can also reach the famous Festspielhaus in Baden-Baden, the Freiburg Theater and even the theaters, operas and museums in Basel and Karlsruhe. The Strasbourg "Opera du Rhin" is one of the best in France and the libretti are shown in German. We would be happy to inform you about the current program.
